The plastic paradise that forms part of Beijing's Central Business District, and the also where my school is.
Homework! (The most monotonous task in the world - writing characters out over and over again to memorise them!)
The bicicyle repair stall, close to my apartment block - an example of the "paesan" culture I was talking about.
Rush hour in Beijing:
The view from my bedroom window; if you look hard enough, you can see part of the outdoor "gym" I was talking about:
Beijing International Airport:
Globalisation at its finest!
the gym sounds amazing but i can't see it in the photo! upload your pics onto facebook!
ReplyDeleteHey man,
ReplyDeleteSorry it's been a while since I posted or emailed - has been a hell of a difficult week. Don't suppose you fancy coming back to England and doing my exams in my stead? Pretty please...
I'm ensconced in a comfortably cushioned chair in the Rare Books room of the University Library, the over-strong air conditioning provoking periodic rattles of sneezing, attempting to get some work done (and failing whilst the Champions League draw was going on - can't believe Liverpool got Chelsea again!).
Hoping for a good result tomorrow, let me know when you have Skype sorted and we can chat. Take care,
Hugo xx
Photo's looking good Ni - i'm amazed at how developed the place looks.. particularly the airport! Overall, looks like a very cool place!
